Configuring Notifications

EnterpriseTrack can be configured to send informational and warning notifications to its users. As an administrator, you can manage who these notifications are sent to, the reason for the notification, and if any action needs to be taken by the recipient. These settings can be overwritten at the project level by users with appropriate permissions.

To manage notifications:

  1. Click the General Settings tab.
  2. Click the Notification Configuration link. You will see a list of notifications that have been configured in your system.
  3. Click the [Edit] link next to the notification you want to modify.
  4. From the Edit Notification page, modify the following fields:
    1. Enable Social Stream: Select this check box if you want the notification to be posted to the social stream.
    2. Enable Email Notification: Select this check box if you want the notification to be sent via email.
    3. Display Login link: Select this check box if you want to display a login link in the email notification. This option is displayed only for some notifications.
    4. Display Contact Me link: Select this check box if you want to display a contact me link in the email notification. This option is displayed only for some notifications.
    5. Email To, Email CC, and Email BCC: Click in the appropriate field and select the roles from the Email List menu on the right. You can select multiple entries by holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard. You can also select the roles one at a time and separate the values with a comma.
    6. Email Subject: Modify the default text.
    7. Email Body Text: Modify the default message associated with this notification
  5. Click Preview to view the email notification that will be sent out.
  6. Click Update.

    Note: Some notifications are visible only if the associated feature is enabled. You cannot add custom notifications.
