Editing Finance Permissions

You can use the Edit Permissions page to edit role-based and access profile-based permissions related to the Finance module. The list below describes the permissions you can select.

Manage Global Financial Settings

Modify all setting under the Finance Management section. This permission is typically given to administrators.

Manage all Finance Templates and Finance Approval Templates

Modify all finance templates and finance approval templates. The Manage Finance Template and the Mange Finance Approval Template are displayed only if this permission is enabled.

Manage Finance Templates and Finance Approval Templates for resource Initiative

Manage finance templates and finance approval templates for resource initiative.

Update Inputs for Finance Fields (NPV, IRR etc)

Update the finance fields within a project. This permission is typically given to a role, for example Project Finance Administrator.

Update Project Lock Month - Single View

Update the lock month associated with a project. This permission is typically given to a role, for example Project Finance Administrator. This permission is applicable only for projects using a finance template with the Data Entry Mode set to Single View (Basic Only).

Update Project Lock Month - Plan
Update the project lock month associated with the Plan view. This permission is typically given to a role, for example Project Finance Administrator. This permission is applicable only for projects using a finance template with the Data Entry Mode set to Double View (Plan and Actual).
Update Project Lock Month - Actual
Update the project lock month associated with the Actual view. This permission is typically given to a role, for example Project Finance Administrator. This permission is applicable only for projects using a finance template with the Data Entry Mode set to Double View (Plan and Actual).
Update the Use Global Lock Month - Single View

Update or delete the global finance lock month. This permission is typically given to a role, for example Project Finance Administrator. This permission is applicable only for projects using a finance template with the Data Entry Mode set to Single View (Basic Only).

Update the Use Global Lock Month - Plan
Update or delete the global finance lock month associated with the Plan view. This permission is typically given to a role, for example Project Finance Administrator. This permission is applicable only for projects using a finance template with the Data Entry Mode set to Double View (Plan and Actual).
Update the Use Global Lock Month - Actual
Update or delete the global finance lock month associated with the Actual view. This permission is typically given to a role, for example Project Finance Administrator. This permission is applicable only for projects using a finance template with the Data Entry Mode set to Double View (Plan and Actual).
Project Finance Administrator

Allow a particular role to be the designated project Finance Administrator. It allows them to update lock months at the project level.

Update Finance Tracking Start Date

Update the finance tracking start date associated with a project.

Update Project's Finance and Approval Templates

Update the project finance template and the project finance approval template.

Update Finance Snapshot Data

Update and delete project finance snapshot data. The Snapshot button on the Detailed Finances tab is visible only if users have this permission.

Update Finance Data - Single
Update finance data for projects. This permission is applicable only for projects using a finance template with the Data Entry Mode set to Single View (Basic Only).
Update Finance Data - Plan
Update the finance (Plan view) data for projects. This permission is applicable only for projects using a finance template with the Data Entry Mode set to Double View (Plan and Actual).
Update Finance Data - Actual
Update the finance (Actual view) data for projects. This permission is applicable only for projects using a finance template with the Data Entry Mode set to Double View (Plan and Actual).
Update Project Currency

Update the project currency.

Manage Currencies and Conversion Rates

Manage the currencies and conversion rates. The Manage Currencies and Manage Conversion Rates links are displayed in the Administration module when this permission is enabled.

Manage Group Finance Validation

Validate finances across all projects. The Finance Validation button is displayed on the Project Listing page only if the permission is enabled.

Manage Project Finance Setting Excel Import/Export

Manage the import/export of project finance setting using Microsoft Excel.
