Working with Finance Snapshots
Creating a Snapshot
- Navigate to the Projects Finances page by selecting (Project #) > Go To > Finances, or clicking the Finances link on the Left Navigation bar within a particular project.
- From the Snapshots drop-down menu, select Create Snapshot.
- Enter a name for this snapshot.
- Enter a description.
- Click Create Snapshot.
Editing a Snapshot
You can edit a snapshot only if you have the Editable Project Finance Snapshots feature enabled. If your project uses the double-view finance template, you can only edit the name and description of the snapshot. If your project uses the single-view finance template, you can edit the name, description and the finances for category and month.
- Navigate to the Projects Finances page by selecting (Project #) > Go To > Finances, or clicking the Finances link on the Left Navigation bar within a particular project.
- Select the Detailed Finances tab.
- On the Main View, from the Snapshot or Current drop-down menu, select the snapshot you want to edit.
- Click the Snapshot button and select Edit Details.
- Change the name of the snapshot.
- Click Update.
Note: In projects using the single-view finance template, the snapshots do not include Plan Effort option.
Deleting a Snapshot
You can delete a snapshot only if you have the Editable Project Finance Snapshots feature enabled.
- Navigate to the Projects Finances page by selecting (Project #) > Go To > Finances, or clicking the Finances link on the Left Navigation bar within a particular project.
- Select the Detailed Finances tab.
- On the Main View, from the Snapshot or Current drop-down menu, select the snapshot you want to delete.
- Click the Snapshot button and select Delete.
