Assigning Rules to Programs

With the exception of loyalty awards for loyalty programs, you can assign configurations such as loyalty points accrual, stored-value bonuses, and transaction eligibility to programs and then to locations. This allows you to create and maintain configurations for regions or locations while retaining program configurations and data continuity.

  1. In Reporting and Analytics, click Programs, Cards, Coupons and Rules, and then click Programs in the iCare Gift, Payment, and Loyalty Configuration portlet. If you cannot find the link, contact your system administrator.
  2. Assign the rules as described in the following table:

    Cards

    Edit Card Rules

    Auto Create Acc Number: select if you want Gift and Loyalty to generate an account number for each new card.

    Org Level: select the location or organization level for which the configuration applies.

    Additional stored value

    Edit SV Bonus Rules

    Org Level: select the location or organization level for which the configuration applies.

    Reward points accrual

    Edit Loyalty Rules

    Loyalty Rule: select the points accrual configuration (loyalty rule).

    Org Level: select the location or organization level for which the configuration applies.

    Card Rule: select a card rule to restrict points accrual to transactions that use the selected type of cards.

    Effective To/From: select a date range during which the points can be accrued.
