3 VSM console System Identifiers

This chapter describes user IDs, passwords, hostnames, IP addresses, and other information you must provide to create a functioning VSM console.

Required VSM console Identifiers

Table 3-1 shows required VSM console identifiers.

Identifiers: What You Need:

MOS log in information

  • MOS user ID

  • MOS password

ILOM

  • ILOM user name (root)

  • ILOM password (changeme)

  • hostname

  • IP address

  • CIDR

VSM Console primary and secondary servers

For Servers:

  • hostname

  • IP address

  • CIDR

  • default router

  • DNS servers 1-3

  • search domains 1-3

For Virtual Machines (1 to x):

  • type (either ACSLS or VTCS)

  • hostname

  • IP address

  • CIDR
