2.8 Desktop Applications Integration
By leveraging Oracle's ADF Desktop Integration, OHI Components applications
allow users to maintain data collections using desktop applications like
Microsoft Excel. This chapter lists the required software that needs to be
installed on user's workstations for ADF Desktop Integration to work.
Not that this is not a replacement of the ADF Desktop Integration prerequisite
documentation. Please refer to:

The following is only a summary of the most important installation requirements as taken from the official documentation.
Client setup
Required Microsoft software
See Developer's Guide chapter "Setting Up Your Development Environment".On client machines where Live Spreadsheet is going to be accessed, the following software must be available:
- Microsoft Windows
- Microsoft Excel, version >= 2007
- Internet Explorer
Microsoft Excel configuration

Oracle Software
Install the ADF Desktop Integration add-on for Excel. For more information see the chapter "Installing and Upgrading the Runtime Edition of ADF Desktop Integration From a Shared File Server and Web Server" from the Administrator's Guide.
