Using the Home Page for Siebel Consumer Goods

The following procedures related to using the Siebel Mobile application for Siebel Consumer Goods home page are included in this topic:

Viewing Call Planning Information on the Home Page

On the home page, you can view the call planning information for accounts in the calendar.


Note:

Viewing calls in the calendar is similar to viewing activities in the calendar. For more information about using the calendar to view activities, see Siebel Fundamentals for Siebel Open UI.

To view the call planning information on the home page 

  1. Tap the Side Menu icon on the application banner, and then tap Home Page to display the following:

    • The calendar showing the call planning information in the right pane or work area.

    • The Accounts list in the left pane.

  2. On the calendar in the right pane, view the call planning information as follows:

    • Tap the left and right arrows to navigate across dates and view the calls scheduled on different dates.

    • Tap the daily, weekly, or monthly calendar icon to switch between the daily, weekly, or monthly view of calls scheduled.

    • Tap Today to see the calls scheduled for today's date.

  3. On the calendar in the right pane, you can perform the following tasks:

    • Extend the duration of a call by tapping the border of the call and dragging it out.

    • Move a call by tapping the call, and then dragging and dropping it on a different time or date.

    • Schedule a call for an account. For more information, see "Scheduling Calls for Accounts on the Home Page".

    • Tap a call on the calendar to drill down and open the call details. For more information, see "Displaying Call Details".

Scheduling Calls for Accounts on the Home Page

On the home page, you can schedule calls for accounts in the calendar.


Note:

Scheduling calls in the calendar is similar to scheduling activities in the calendar. For more information about using the calendar to schedule activities, see Siebel Fundamentals for Siebel Open UI.

To schedule calls for accounts on the home page 

  1. Tap the Side Menu icon on the application banner, and then tap Home Page to display the following:

    • The calendar showing the call planning information in the right pane or work area.

    • The Accounts list in the left pane.

  2. Schedule a new account call as follows:

    1. Select an account from the Accounts list in the left pane.

    2. Drag and drop the selected account onto the calendar in the right panel.

    3. Drill down on the new call to open it. For more information, see "Displaying Call Details"

    4. Modify the call details as required. For more information, see "Modifying Call Information (Details) for a Call" and "Modifying Call Item Information (Activity) for a Call".

    5. Modify the related items for the call as required. For more information, see "Displaying Call Details".
