Process of Setting Up Siebel Composer

To set up Siebel Composer

1. Determine the installation case that applies to you by reviewing the information in About Setting Up Siebel Composer:
   • If the new installation case applies to you, then do not complete the steps in this process, and see the Siebel Installation Guide for the operating system you are using.
   • If the migration installation case applies to you, then complete the steps in this process.
2. Install the current release of Siebel as a migration installation for an existing Siebel installation of an earlier version.

   NOTE:  The overall installation process includes many specific tasks and requirements that are not mentioned in this topic. For more information about installing Siebel, see the Siebel Installation Guide for the operating system you are using.

3. Run Incremental Repository Merge for the Siebel database.

   NOTE:  You must run Incremental Repository Merge after you install the current release of Siebel as a migration installation for an existing installation of an earlier version. For more information about running Incremental Repository Merge, see Siebel Database Upgrade Guide.

4. Add the Application Object Manager component for Siebel Composer.

5. Add the virtual directory on the Web server for Siebel Composer.
