Release Notes

Release 7.3.4

E75630-01

June 2016

This document provides release notes for Oracle Communications IP Service Activator release 7.3.4 and includes the following:

New Features

The new features in this release of IP Service Activator are:

Programmatic Intent-Based Network REST API

IP Service Activator release 7.3.4 introduces support for the programmatic intent-base network Representational State Transfer (REST) API, which allows service providers and system integrators to define API calls with a higher level of granularity. This interface simplifies the logic required in upstream systems to provision complex services.

The IP Service Activator REST web service allows you to create and use custom Groovy scripts that use common REST methods. See the new IP Service Activator API Developer's Guide for information about the REST API and using the Groovy scripting language.

MEF Network Resource Provisioning API Reference Implementation

IP Service Activator is now delivered with a MEF Service Provisioning API Reference Implementation, which you can use for provisioning EVC Segments over an MPLS Flow Domain (as a VPLS), in support of any MEF service types, such as E-Line, E-LAN, E-Tree, E-Access, and so on.

VRF Format Upgrade Option for Cisco Devices

On Cisco devices, you can now upgrade the VRF format from IP VRF to VRF definition for either all VRFs on a device, or for selected customers and VPNs. This enables you to upgrade the VRF format on devices by using a single step.

Fixes in This Release

IP Service Activator 7.3.4 includes all fixes up to and including release 7.2.0.8.2. For more information, see IP Service Activator Release Notes 7.2.
