Initial Planning for the migration from World to EnterpriseOne
- Began in the fall of 2013.
- After 4 to 6 months of partner evaluations, we narrowed the field down from 6-7 partners to 2-3 vendors. Partner CSS selected.
- Upgrade was necessary for the future success of Turner’s business.
- Project approval received from Turner’s Senior Management Team 4th quarter of 2015.
Discovery phase leads to transformational upgrade
- Started with Mfg. prototype for our Pipe Fabrication Division.
- Expected many changes from current World implementation due to heavy modifications to the base World Software over the past 20+ years.
- Completed the prototype conference room pilot on July 13th after 12 weeks of discovery by CSS.
- Achieved success with complete buy-in from the Pipe Fabrication Division’s Management Team.
- Obtained approval of the CRP and rolled directly into detail design.
- Identified and working through functional GAPs.
- “Mission to Transition” Team = 17 operations personnel, 5 IT analysts and 6 CSS consultants.
- Anticipate going “Live” on EnterpriseOne 9.2 sometime during the summer of 2017.
