Create database user accounts

If you are performing a new Central Coding installation, Oracle recommends that a database administrator performs the following steps before the Central Coding application is installed:

Download the Central Coding 3.1 ZIP file.
Extract the ZIP contents.
- To create the Central Coding Database User and Coding Platform Database User:
  1. Open a Windows command prompt from the CodingDBSetup folder.
  2. Enter the following command:
    sqlplus /nolog CodingDBSetup.sql
  3. Enter the user account information when prompted.
  During the Central Coding installation, when configuring the two database user accounts, the system administrator can select the options to use existing users, and enter the credentials of the users created during this step.
  
  Note: If you create the Central Coding Database User and Coding Platform Database User during the installation, you must enter the Oracle SYS account password.
- To create the Coding Dictionary Database Administrator User, run CreateDictAdminUser.sql located in the CodingDBSetup folder.
  In the Dictionary Loader tool, when performing certain operations, such as creating a dictionary repository or a dictionary, the dictionary administrator must enter the credentials of the user you created during this step.
