Deleting a data set

If you have the role of User, Power User, or Administrator, you can delete any data set from the Catalog. If you have the role of Viewer, you cannot delete a data set.

You cannot delete a data set that is currently being used in a project.

To delete a data set, click Delete on the data set details panel.

Note: Deleting a data set from the Catalog does not delete its corresponding Hive table in the Hive database. For details about the relationship between a data set and its Hive table, see the Data Processing Guide.
