Steps:
Select the folder containing the files you want to sort.
Click the Editing Techniques folder.
Step 1Sort the documents in the view by clicking the column heading for the property on which you want to base the sort.
Click the Type column heading.
Step 2Notice that the documents are arranged by Type in ascending order.
To change the sort order again, click the column heading until the triangular indicator points up for an ascending sort or down for a descending sort.
Step 3Change the sort by Type to a descending order.
Click the Type column heading.
Step 4Sort the documents by name.
Click the Name column heading.
Step 5Apply a horizontal layout to the work area.
Click the Horizontal Layout button.
Step 6Sort the documents in the bottom area by Name in descending order.
Click the Name column heading in the bottom work area.
Step 7Notice that you can sort each work area independently from the other.
