Edit Image Properties


After completing this topic, you will be able to edit image properties.


Steps:

  1. Edit the image properties.

     

    Double-click the Page Setup dialog box graphic to open the Image Properties dialog box.

  2. Change the Width of the image to 300 pixels.

     

    Double-click in the Width field.

  3. Enter the desired information into the Width field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "300"

  4. Notice that the Lock Ratio icon is enabled so you can leave the Height to automatically adjust.

  5. Select the Advanced tab.

     

    Click the Advanced link.

  6. You can use the Advisory Title to enter mouse-over (tooltip) text.

     

    Click in the Advisory Title field.

  7. Enter the desired information into the Advisory Title field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Change page settings"

  11. The image appears on the left side of the screen, but the Align buttons show that the image has no alignment set.

     

    The default alignment for an image is a <not set> alignment, which produces an inline image with no word wrapping. If no alignment is set for the image, the image aligns to the paragraph on which it is placed. Applying a left or right alignment to the image itself changes the alignment and wraps the text.

  12. Apply a left alignment to the image.

  16. Notice that the Alignment setting is set to Left.

     

    Alignment settings made using toolbar buttons also appear in the Image Properties dialog box.

  17. Enter a 5 in the HSpace field to add 5 pixels of spacing between the image and the wrapped text on the right.

     

    Click in the HSpace field.

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "5"

  22. You can remove an alignment setting from an image and change the alignment back to the default inline setting of <not set> using the Image Properties dialog box or by deselecting the active alignment button.

     

    In this example, you will use the Image Properties dialog box.

  28. Notice that the Center alignment is not available for images. You cannot directly center an image in a web page. You can, however, center an image by applying a center alignment to the paragraph in which the image is inserted.

  29. Click to the right of the image to select the paragraph in which the image is inserted.
