When you create an external report link, you use the URL of the report to create the link. Each external report must have a unique name. This name appears in the Custom Reports section on the Report List page. External report links are available to all users with the appropriate rights to create and run training reports.

 

ProcedureTo create an external report link:

  1. From the Report List, click New External Report.
     
    Note: You must have System Administrator or Reporter and Manager permissions to create a new external report.
     
  2. Enter the Name of the report.
     
  3. Enter the URL for the location of the report. Be sure to include the filename of the report.
     
  4. Enter a Description for the report.
     
  5. Select or deselect the Active option, as desired.
     
  6. In the Visible to Workgroups group, select if the report will be visible to all workgroups or selected workgroups. If visible to selected workgroups only, select the workgroups.
     
    Note: By default, all reports, regardless of workgroup selection, are available to System Administrators. Reports marked for selected workgroups are also available to Reporters with Manager permissions. A report can be assigned to a Reporter who does not have Manager permissions in the User Properties page in Manager.
     
  7. In the User Parameters group, select the desired parameters.
     
  8. Click Save.
