Create a Hotspot Question

After completing this topic, you will be able to create a hotspot question.

Steps:

1. Create a hotspot question in the selected folder.

    

   Click the File menu.

   Step 1

2. Point to the New command.

   Step 2

3. Point to the Question command.

   Step 3

4. Click the Hotspot command.

   Step 4

5. Add the question text.

    

   Click in the Click to add question text field.

   Step 5

6. Enter "Click on the button".

   Step 6

7. We have entered the rest of the question text for you.

   Step 7

8. Add an image to the question.

    

   Click the Update Image button.

   Step 8

9. Browse to find the image in a package.

    

   Click the Browse button.

   Step 9

10. Open the package containing the image you want to add.

     

    Double-click the Question images package.

11. Select the image.

     

    Click the Memo.png list item.

    Step 11

12. Click the OK button.

    Step 12

13. Click the OK button.

14. The image appears in the question. Add the hotspots for the image.

     

    Click the Add Option button.

15. The hotspot appears in the upper, left corner of the image. A number 1 appears on the hotspot since it is the first one added to the question.

16. Move the hotspot to cover the Date/Time button.

     

    Press the left mouse button and drag the mouse to the Date/Time button.

17. Release the mouse button.

18. You can resize the hotspots using any of the square edit handles. To save time we will resize the action area.

19. Add another hotspot.

     

    Click the Add Option button.

20. The second hotspot displays the number 2.

21. We have added a total of four hotspots to the image. Each one is designated with a number.

22. Move the question box so that it overlaps the image, but does not cover any of the hotspots.

     

    Press the left mouse button on the Question title bar and drag the question box into the image.

23. Release the mouse button.

24. Select the correct response.

     

    Click the Response list.

25. Click the 3 list item.

26. Preview the question.

     

    Click the Preview button.

27. Select an incorrect hotspot.

     

    Click Hotspot 4.

28. Click the OK button.

29. Take the question again.

     

    Click the Take question again button.

30. Select the correct hotspot.

     

    Click Hotspot 3 on top of the Save button.

32. Switch to edit mode.

     

    Click the Edit button.

    Click the Save button.

34. We have named the question and selected a save location.

     

    Click the Save button.
