Modify Screenshots


After completing this topic, you will be able to modify the screenshots in a document template.


Steps:

  1. This placeholder controls the size of the frame screenshots in a topic.

     

    You can change the size of the screenshots in the document output with the Picture Tools tab, or by dragging a corner or side selection handle of the placeholder.

  2. Click the screenshot placeholder to open the Picture Tools tab in the ribbon.

  3. You can use the Picture Tools tab to add borders, resize, change the alignment, crop, and control the color, contrast and brightness of images.

  4. Change the size of the frame screenshot by scaling it to 80%.

     

    Click the Size Dialog Box Launcher.

  5. Scale the placeholder to 80%.

     

    In the Scale section, double-click the 100 in the Height field.

  6. Enter the desired information into the Height: field. Enter "80".

  7. Double-click the 100 in the Width field.

  8. Enter the desired information into the Width: field. Enter "80".

  9. Click the OK button to close the Format Picture dialog box.

  10. Notice the smaller size of the screenshot placeholder.

  12. Change the maximum size of a package image linked as a concept.

     

    Click the image placeholder.

  13. You can use the Height and Width settings on the Picture Tools tab or open the Size dialog box to set an absolute size.

     

    The Size dialog box allows you to control the aspect ratio of the picture.

  15. Change the height to 3.5".

     

    Double-click the 72 in the Height field.

  16. Enter the desired information into the Absolute height field. Enter "5".

  18. The width adjusts automatically because the Lock aspect ratio option is enabled in the Size dialog box.

  20. The maximum size for the image is resized to a specific dimension.

    Note: To be consistent, we resized all of the package and web page images for attachments in the document template.
