After completing this topic, you will be able to publish and deploy Player content by Roles.
Steps:
Publish the selected content.
Click the File menu.
Step 1Click the Publish command.
Step 2Publish to the default publishing destination.
Click the Next > button.
Step 3Publish the entire outline.
Click the Publish entire outline option.
Step 4Filter the content by the Customer Support role.
Click the Publish by roles option.
Step 5Click the Select Roles button.
Step 6Although the master role list may contain many roles, only the roles assigned to the selected content appear when you filter by roles.
Step 7Click the Customer Support option.
Step 8Click the OK button.
Step 9Skip the advanced options page and continue setting the publishing options.
Click the Next > button.
Step 10Publish the content to the same publishing destination and replace the old content.
Click the Continue button.
Step 11The Player option is already selected. Publish the content.
Note: You can filter content for any player or print output.
Click the Publish button.
Step 12When the publishing is complete, click the link to open the local player.
Click the C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Documents\User Productivity Kit\Publishing Content\PlayerPackage\Play.exe link.
Step 13The Publishing Wizard publishes only the documents assigned the Customer Support role.
Step 14Close the Player window.
Click the Close button.
Step 15Click Finish to close the Publishing Complete dialog box.
Click the Finish button.
