Reset Player Options


After completing this topic, you will be able to reset Player options.


Steps:

  1. Open the Publishing Wizard using the File menu.

     

    Click the File menu.

  2. Click the Publish command.

  3. Publish to the default publishing destination.

     

    Click the Next > button.

  4. Click the Publish entire outline option.

  5. Click the Next > button.

  6. When you publish a different content selection to a destination folder that already contains published content, you are asked if you wish to replace the existing content. If you continue, the results depend on the type of format you are publishing.

     

    Note: If you did not want to replace the published content, you would click the Cancel button and publish to another publishing destination.

  7. Publish the content to the same publishing destination and replace the old content.

     

    Click the Continue button.

  8. Reset the Player options to use the settings in the Options dialog box.

     

    Click the Use Options Settings button.

  9. Notice in the Content options that the Skin was changed to None.

  10. Notice that the Marquee color changed back to Red and the Enable skipping in Try It! mode is enabled.

  11. Click the Training Guide option to deselect it.

  12. Click the Instructor Manual option to deselect it.

  13. Publish the selected content.

     

    Click the Publish button.

  14. When the publishing is complete, view the player.

     

    Click the C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Documents\User Productivity Kit\Publishing Content\PlayerPackage\Play.exe link.

  15. To save time, we have launched the Opening a Document topic in Try It! mode for you.

     

    Notice that the Marquee color has been reset to the default Red color and the Gray skin no longer appears. The Introduction frame is not displayed as that option was set in the Options dialog box and resetting the publishing options does not affect those settings.

  16. Advance to the next step by pressing the Enter key.

     

    Press [Enter].

  17. Notice that the topic has advanced to the next step as the Enable skipping in Try It! mode option was re-enabled.

  18. Close the Opening a document window.

     

    Click the Close button.
