Saving the Overlay


After completing this topic, you will be able to save an overlay to the topic.


Steps:

  1. After editing the topic slides, you can close Microsoft PowerPoint and save the overlay.

     

    Note: You can also use the Close command on the Office Button menu to close the application.

     

    Click the Close button.

  2. Save the overlay.

     

    Click the Yes button.

  3. The Developer converts the PowerPoint file to a topic.

  4. Notice the overlay objects on the first frame. View the blank frame.

     

    Click the X frame.

  5. The blank frame appears with the slide design.

  6. We have added text to the bubble so that the instructions to continue appear in the frame.

  7. View the author note that was added in PowerPoint.

     

    Click the Frame Comments tab.

  8. The text appears in the Author Notes pane.

  9. We have selected the second F frame. The masking overlays appear in all frames.

  10. You can delete all overlays in a topic, including applied slide designs using the Delete All Overlays in this Topic button or the Delete Overlays command on the Delete menu.

  11. To delete individual overlays, you must edit the topic overlay in PowerPoint.

     

    You can edit the overlay using the Edit Overlay button or the Edit Overlay command from the Screenshot Editing menu on the Edit menu.
