You can create custom styles as needed for any publishing format. To customize the appearance of any style, you should first make a copy of the publishing project document that you want to modify. It is not recommended that you customize the standard styles that ship with the Developer.

When you copy a publishing style in the Library, you can place the copy within the same folder in the Library, or you can create a new folder and subfolder structure to contain the customized styles. If you place the copy in the same folder, the style name is listed twice on the Formats and Options screen of the Publishing Wizard. See Rename a Publishing Style for information on how to change the name. If you create a new folder structure, the name of the folder appears as a category on the Advanced Publishing Options page of the Publishing Wizard.
