Create a Matching Question

After completing this topic, you will be able to create a matching question.

Steps:

1. Create a matching question in the selected folder.

    

   Click the File menu.

2. Point to the New menu.

   Step 2

3. Point to the Question menu.

   Step 3

4. Click the Matching command.

   Step 4

5. Add the question text.

    

   Click in the Click to add question text field.

   Step 5

6. We have entered the question text for you.

    

   The question text includes directions how to answer the matching question.

   Step 6

7. You start by entering the response in one of the columns. Enter the menu names in the left column.

    

   Click in the Click to add choice text field in the left Response column.

   Step 7

8. Enter the desired information into the Matching Question field. Enter "File".

   Step 8

9. Press [Enter].

   Step 9

10. Enter "Edit".

    Step 10

11. Press [Enter].

12. We have entered the rest of the responses in the left column for you.

13. Enter the matching responses in the right column.

     

    Click in the Click to add choice text placeholder text in the right column.

14. Enter "Options".

15. Press [Enter].

16. Enter "Open".

17. Press [Enter].

18. We have entered the rest of the matching responses for you.

     

    Notice that we have added an extra response in the right column to make the question more challenging.

19. After entering the text in the left and right columns, you need to indicate the number of the correct matching response for each entry in the left column.

     

    Click in the response box next to File.

20. Enter the number of the matching response. The Open command is on the File menu.

    Enter "2" as the match for File.

21. Click in the response box next to Edit.

23. Preview the matching question.

     

    Click the Preview button.

24. Click in the response box next to File.

    Step 24

25. Enter the matching response. Enter "2".

26. We have entered incorrect responses and clicked the OK button.

     

    Notice the correct numbers next to each response box and the correct answer order under the question.

27. This time we entered the correct matching responses.

28. Return to the edit mode.

     

    Click the Edit button.

29. Save the question and close it.

     

    Click the Save button.

30. We have named the question and selected a save location. Save the question.

     

    Click the Save button.
