You can customize many of the graphics in the Player interface to fit your corporate look. For example, if you want to change the background color of the header, find the .headerTransparent element and change the color value.
Gateway page
The logo can be customized in two locations in the Player. The first location is on the Gateway page when you start up the Player. This graphic is called large_logo.gif. The second location is in the top left corner of the Player interface. This graphic is called small_logo.gif.
Note: You can also use the Customize Logo tool in the Developer to replace the logo. If you use this tool, the logo should be no larger than 230x44 pixels.
Other Player graphics, such as the banner, search, preferences, help, and log out icons can also be customized.
The following images can be copied from the Customizable images folder in the Player style. The elements can be copied from the custom.css in the Player style unless otherwise noted.
1 Logo (small_logo.gif): This image controls the logo in the top left corner of the Player.
2 Gradient (banner_image.png): This image controls the color gradient that fills the area containing the small_logo. The image is 425 x 1 pixels.
Note: The default banner_image.png automatically resizes to the height of the logo (small_logo.gif). If banner_image.png is changed to a fixed size, (recommended size is: 425 x 54 pixels), and you change the height of the logo, you must resize the banner image 10 pixels higher than the new height of the logo.
.header: Use to specify the color of the gradient fill. This changes the color of the right column of the color table that controls the gradient color. The left column of the table is #FFFFFF (white) and cannot be edited. Changing the color only applies if the banner_image.png is 1 pixel in height.
.headerTransparent: This controls the background color of the header.
3 Divider lines (.background): Use .background to change the border and background color of the vertical divider bar between the Outline and Concept panes and the horizontal border around the Player toolbar.
4 Blue Shading (.headerDivbar): Use this to change the height and/or color the blue shading in the Player toolbar.
5 Color of outline background (.thover): Use this to customize the background color of the Outline pane.
6 Color of selected outline item (.tselected): Use this to customize the background color of selected items in the Outline pane.
7 Preferences Icon (prefs_button.gif): Use this to customize the Preferences icon (default is 16x16 pixels).
8 Help Icon (help_button.gif): Use this to customize the Help icon (default is 16x16 pixels).
9 Share Icon (share_link.gif): Use this to customize the Link icon (default is 16x16 pixels).
10 Share link font & color (.share_link:link): Use this to customize the font and color of the Share link on the Player toolbar.
11 Open Module/Section (module_o.gif): Use this to customize the Open Module/Section icon (default is 16x16 pixels). If an icon that is not 16 x16 pixels, the top left 16x16 pixels are used.
12 Closed Module/Section (module_c.gif): Use this to customize the Closed Module/Section icon (default is 16x16 pixels).
13 Topic Icon (topic.gif): Use this to customize the Topic icon (default is 16x16 pixels).
G large_logo.gif: Use this to customize the logo on the Gateway page.
logout_button.gif: 16x16 pixels (not shown). This icon appears only when the content being viewed is tracked via the Knowledge Center.
