Paste a Duplicate (selection and related) - Library


After completing this topic, you will be able to paste a duplicate (selection and related) in the Library.


Steps:

  1. Click the WP folder.

  2. You will copy the WordPad Training module and paste a duplicate of the document and related documents to the Copies/Duplicate Outline folder.

  3. Click the WordPad Training list item.

  4. Use the toolbar to copy the selected module.

     

    Click the Copy button.

  5. Select the destination folder in the Folders pane.

     

    Click the Copies/Duplicate Outline folder.

  6. Use Paste Special to paste the copied module.

     

    Click the Edit menu.

  7. Click the Paste Special command.

  8. Paste a duplicate of the document with related documents.

     

    Click the Duplicate (selection and related) list item.

  9. The Duplicate Glossaries option is already enabled, enable the Duplicate Style Sheets option.

     

    Click the Duplicate Style Sheets option.

  10. Click the View related documents link.

  11. Click the Type column header to sort by type.

  12. We have scrolled the list for you. Notice that the related documents that will be duplicated include two Style Sheets.

  13. Close the Related Document dialog box.

     

    Click the Close button.

  14. Since you want to maintain one glossary and one set of style sheets, deselect the Duplicate Glossaries and Duplicate Style Sheets options.

     

    Click the Duplicate Style Sheets option to deselect it.

  17. The Developer creates duplicate copies of the module and all related documents. The Developer also creates an Additional Related Documents folder to store all directly and indirectly related documents that are located outside of the source document's folder structure.

  18. View the contents of the Additional Related Documents folder.

     

    Double-click the Additional Related Documents folder in the Contents pane.

  19. This folder contains copies of the directly and indirectly related documents that are located outside of the WordPad Training module's folder structure.

     

    For this duplicate outline, the folder contains topics directly linked to the outline, attachments, questions, assessments, and topics (and their attachments) indirectly linked to the outline through the See Also property.
