After completing this topic, you will be able to create a style in a style sheet.
Steps:
Create a new Paragraph style with the name Default Paragraph.
Click the Add Style menu.
Step 1Click the Paragraph list item.
Step 2Enter the desired information into the Style name field. Enter
Press [Enter].
Step 4The first style that you create for an element is created as a default style.
Step 5Collapse the Default Paragraph style.
Click the collapse icon in the Default Paragraph header.
Step 6Create a new Heading 1 style.
Click the Add Style menu.
Step 7Click the Heading 1 list item.
Step 8Enter the desired information into the Style name field. Enter
Press [Enter].
Step 10We have also added a second Header 1 style named H1a. Since we already have a default Heading 1 style, the second Heading 1 style is created as a non-default style.
Step 11We have changed the formatting for the non-default Heading 1 style.
We have changed the font family, text color, and spacing after attributes.
Step 12You can rename a style at any time by editing the style name.
Click in the Style name field.
Step 13The dotted lines around the style name in the header indicate that you are in edit mode.
Notice that the Style Editor toolbar buttons are not available while you are in the header editing mode.
Step 14We have entered the new name for the style. Press ENTER to exit the header editing mode.
Press [Enter].
Step 15Make the H1_green style the default Heading 1 style.
Click the Make Default button.
Step 16Non-default styles inherit the attributes from the default styles.
The H1 style now inherits attributes from the H1_green style.
You do not have to assign a default style for an element.
Step 17Use the element name in the header to remove the default setting from the H1_green style.
Click in the Heading 1 [default] header text.
Step 18You can also use the header to assign a default style.
Click in the Heading 1 text.
