After completing this topic, you will be able to edit a topic using Record It!.
Steps:
You can open a topic that you recorded by clicking the topic link in the Open section.
Click the Creating Bullet Lists link.
Step 1The topic opens in the Record It! editor.
Step 2You can view another frame by clicking a frame in the Frames pane or use the Forward and Backward arrow buttons.
Step 3You can add author notes in the Notes pane.
The Frames pane shows a page icon for the Start frame indicating that the frame contains an author note.
Step 4The author note for Frame 5 was added when the topic was recorded.
Step 5The action area indicates where the action takes place in a frame.
The Recorder usually captures the correct action area; however, you can drag the black sizing handles to resize the action area or move the action area, if needed.
Step 6We have resized the action area to cover the entire list box.
Step 7The Action type setting displays the action captured for the current frame. Basic actions are mouse, keyboard, and typing actions.
Click the Action type list.
Step 8You can use the action list to select a different action for the frame.
Step 9The Object type setting refers to the type of object on which you performed the action.
Click the Object type list.
Step 10You can select another object type from the list. Changing the object type also changes the template text used to describe the object.
Step 11The Object name setting refers to the name of the object on which you performed the action. This name is entered in the appropriate place in the bubble template to tell the user which icon to click.
Step 12You can change this field, and subsequently, what appears in the bubble, by typing other text.
Step 13You can delete frames that you captured by mistake.
Click the Delete button.
Step 14Frames deleted in the Record It! editor cannot be restored.
Click the Cancel button to cancel the deletion.
Step 15You can record a new topic with sound, or record without sound and add sound later.
Using the Sound button, you can add or replace the sound in a frame.
Click the Sound button.
Step 16The Sound button image changes while you are recording sound.
Click the Sound button to stop recording sound.
Step 17After recording sound for a frame, you can use the Play button to hear the results. You can re-record the sound if you are not satisfied.
The Frames pane shows a sound icon for Frame 3 indicating that sound has been recorded for that frame.
Step 18The Close command on the File menu closes the topic and returns to the main Record It! screen.
Step 19You can open topics from your file system.
Click the Other link.
Step 20You can navigate to the folder containing the saved topic and open the topic.
Click the Open button to open the Indenting a Paragraph topic.
Step 21The topic opens in the Record It! editor.
Step 22A link to the topic now appears in the Record It! screen.
Step 23After completing this topic, you are able to edit a topic using Record It!.
