After completing this topic, you will be able to change the play modes assigned to topics.
Steps:
Select the topic for which you want to change the Play Modes.
Click the Creating Outlines topic below the Lists section.
Step 1In the Topic category of the Properties toolpane, display the list of available play modes.
Click in the Play Modes field.
Step 2Click the Play Modes list button.
Step 3The list displays the play modes assigned to the selected topic.
Step 4Remove the Know It? play mode for the topic.
Click the Know It? option.
Step 5Click outside the Play Modes list to close it.
Click in the blank space to the left of the list to close the list.
Step 6Select the Creating Bullet Lists and Creating Number Lists topics and remove the Know It? and Do It! play modes.
Click the Creating Bullet Lists topic.
Step 7Press the [Ctrl] key and click the Creating Number Lists topic.
Step 8Click in the Play Modes field.
Step 9Display the list of available play modes.
Click the Play Modes list button.
Step 10Remove the Do It! and Know It? play modes for the selected topics.
Click the Do It! option.
Step 11Click the Know It? option.
Step 12Click outside the Play Modes list to close it.
Click in the blank space to the left of the list to close the list.
Step 13Add the Creating Outlines topic to the selection.
Press the [Ctrl] key and click the Creating Outlines topic.
Step 14Because the selection contains topics with different assigned values, the Play Modes cell appears blank.
Step 15Display the Play Modes list for the selected topics.
Click in the Play Modes field.
Step 16Click the Play Modes list button.
Step 17The checkmarks show that for all of the selected topics, See It!, Try It!, and Print It! modes are enabled and Know It? mode is disabled. The gray checkmark indicates that the Do It! mode assignment varies for the topics in the selection.
Step 18Enable Do It! mode for all selected topics.
Click the Do It! option.
Step 19Enable the Do It! mode for all of the selected topics.
Click the Do It! option.
Step 20Click outside the Play Modes list to close it.
Click in the blank space to the left of the list to close the list.
