Invite an Existing User to a New Tenant

All users added to Primavera Cloud must be associated with a company. Users can only be assigned to one company throughout Primavera Cloud. A user may be invited to multiple instances or tenants of Primavera Cloud, but can only be associated to the same company. For example, if a user is assigned to Company A on an instance of Primavera Cloud, then they can only be added to Company A on any other instance that they are invited to.

To add a user to another instance or tenant, you first need to specify the user's company. You may come across one of the following scenarios when adding an existing user to a new tenant:

User's email ID and company records match

If the user's email ID and company match:

  1. Follow the steps to add a user up until step 4.
  2. In the Company field, enter the company that the user is being added to.
  3. In the Email field, enter the email ID for the user.
  4. Select Use This if you want to continue adding the user using the company and email ID provided.

    Notes:

    • The Use This button only appears if the user's email ID and company record match.
    • Use an alias email ID if you do not want to continue adding the user with the company and email provided.
  5. Complete the rest of the steps to finish adding the user.

User's email ID and company records do not match

If the user's email ID and company do not match, search for the user's company record and associate it with the current tenant, if required. You may come across one of the following scenarios when searching for the user's company:

User's company is associated with the current tenant

If the user's email ID and the company you entered do not match, search for the user's company record. If the company is associated with the current tenant, use that company, and then add the user. To add the user:

  1. Follow the steps to add a user up until step 4.
  2. In the Company field, enter the company that the user is being added to.
  3. In the Email field, enter the email ID for the user.
  4. If you receive a message that the user already exists in another company, go back to the Company field, and select that company from the Select Company dialog box.
  5. Complete the rest of the steps to finish adding the user.

User's company record is not associated with the current tenant

If the user's email ID and the company you entered do not match, search for the user's company record. If the company is not found, then first add the company, and then add the user:

  1. Follow the steps to add a user up until step 4.
  2. In the Company field, enter the company that the user is being added to.
  3. In the Email field, enter the email ID for the user.
  4. If you receive a message that the user already exists in another company, go back to the Company field, and select that company from the Select Company dialog box.
  5. If the company record is not found, follow steps to add the Company to the current tenant.
  6. Complete the rest of the steps to finish adding the user.
