P6 vs. Primavera Cloud - Data Schemas
When migrating data between Oracle Primavera Cloud and P6, it is important to understand that similar project data may be structured differently in each application. These schema variations can include field names, field sizes, and supported objects. Review field values that may exceed P6 field-size limits, because Primavera Cloud supports longer values for some corresponding fields. These differences might cause issues with import and export.
The following tables list objects and shared data fields where Primavera Cloud values can exceed the corresponding P6 field-size limits during Primavera Cloud-to-P6 import. In the table, Primavera Cloud object IDs may map to P6 object names during export and import. For example, Primavera Cloud exports the object ID, which P6 imports as the object name. Conversely, P6 exports the object name, which Primavera Cloud imports as the object ID. This mapping applies to several objects, including Calendars, Resource Code Types, and Activity Code Types.
Note These tables only include fields where Primavera Cloud supports longer values than P6. Review these fields before Primavera Cloud-to-P6 import to make sure exported Primavera Cloud values are within the corresponding P6 field-size limits.
