Create and Configure an Oracle Primavera Cloud Trigger

A trigger is an event that starts a zap and is used to begin an action in a third-party application. You can utilize different tasks to trigger a zap and begin a specific action.

To create and configure a Zapier trigger:

  1. Log in to Zapier using the URL: https://zapier.com/app/login.
  2. From the left navigation panel, select Zaps.
  3. On the Zaps Home page, select Create Zap.
  4. In the Trigger panel, under the App event section, search for and select Oracle Primavera Cloud.
  5. In the Trigger event menu, select one of the triggers to be used with Oracle Primavera Cloud which will start the zap:
    • New (First) Commitment: Event triggers when a task is first committed.
    • Updated Commitment: Event triggers when a task is recommitted.
    • Updated Commitment Task: Event triggers when any attribute of a committed task is updated.
  6. In the Account field, click Select. Here you can select and connect to a previously created account or select Connect a new account to create a new account.
  7. In the Allow Zapier to access your Oracle Primavera Cloud Account dialog box:
    1. In the Domain URL field, select the URL for the Oracle Primavera Cloud data center you want to access from the drop-down list.
    2. Select Yes, Continue to Oracle Primavera Cloud.
  8. In the Oracle Construction and Engineering sign-in screen:
    1. Enter your Email address and select Next.
    2. Follow the prompts to enter your password.
  9. Select Continue.
  10. In the Trigger step, complete the required fields:
    1. Workspace ID: Enter the workspace ID of the project that will be used to send the task information.
    2. Project ID: Enter the project ID of the project that will be used to send the task information.
    3. In the Advanced options step section, complete the following fields:
      1. Query Records: Enter the time interval for querying the records.
      2. You can enter values ranging from 1 - 60 minutes. The default is set to 15 minutes.
      3. (Optional) Additional Filter Conditions: Enter any additional filter conditions for the query. For example, filter tasks based on a company.
    4. Select Continue.
  11. Select Test trigger to select a trigger from the list of Primavera Cloud tasks matching the event type.
  12. Select Continue.
