Activities Page Tools
The Activities page contains a collection of tools and features for monitoring, analyzing, and scheduling your project.
- Activity Usage: View the time-phased usage of your project activities in the activity usage histogram.
- Baselines: Capture your schedule at a given point in time, evaluating performance at different phases of the project lifecycle.
- Earned Value: Measure schedule and budget current progress and estimates to complete against an initial project plan.
- Gantt Curtains: Display shaded curtains that can be configured and placed on top of the Gantt chart on the Activities page to visually distinguish time periods that might impact a project or program schedule.
- Global Change: Create If/Then statements to identify and update matching project activity values quicker than modifying activities individually.
- Leveler: Resolve resource and role assignment over allocations.
- Notebook Topics: Provide additional information on an activity.
- Milestones: View how projects are progressing according to their milestones. You can view milestones at the project or program level.
- Recalculate Costs: Update activity and assignment cost values as your project progresses and data becomes outdated.
- Resource and Role Usage: View resource and role units and costs across your project's timeline using histograms and spreadsheet data. Download the entire spread of resource or role data across into a spreadsheet for further analysis.
- Resource-Loaded Scheduling: Plan your activity units and costs based on the resources and roles assigned to perform the work on each activity. Assignment-level units and costs roll up to the activity level.
- Schedule Health Score: Evaluate the quality of your project schedule using common schedule analysis metrics.
- Schedule Scenarios: Create what-if versions of your project schedule to evaluate different outcomes without making permanent changes to the actual schedule.
- Scheduler: Sequence your project's activities, or activities shared by multiple projects in a program, along a timeline based on their constraints, relationships, and dates. The scheduler uses the Critical Path Method scheduling algorithm.
- Store Period Performance: Capture historical records to track actual units and costs to date allowing you to bill for work completed and analyze schedule performance.
