Export the Schedule Comparison Page

You can export the schedule comparison data to your preferred spreadsheet application from both Compare Mode and Merge Mode. This allows you to report key changes made to project activities and further customize the data output in the spreadsheet application. The export is created as a .xlsx file. If exported from Compare Mode, this file contains a list of all activities in the project regardless of grouping and filtering, in addition to all user-defined data for activity and resource assignment configured fields on the Schedule Comparison page. If exported from Merge Mode, the .xlsx file contains a list of all selected and unselected activities from the Activities List with an additional column indicating which activities were selected for merge at the time of export. Information from the Change Type column will also be included at export in both Compare Mode and in Merge Mode.

To export the schedule comparison page from the toolbar:

  1. Navigate to the Schedule Comparison page.
  2. Select two versions of the project schedule that you want to compare in the Compare Schedule Versions dialog box, which opens automatically when you navigate to the page:
    1. Select the Source schedule.
    2. Select the Comparison schedule.
  3. Select Compare to run the comparison analysis.
  4. Select the Actions menu.
  5. Select Export to export all of data in the Schedule Comparison table and from the Schedule Variance Analysis panel.

    Note: To customize the analysis panel follow the steps in Configure the Schedule Variance Analysis Panel to determine the display options.

  6. Select Download File from the user Inbox. Move the file to the Archive folder by selecting Archive.
