Filter a Page by Multiple Code Values: Example

Configure View Settings

Use a single filter condition to display or exclude items that are assigned multiple code values. Use Is one of to select multiple code values in a single condition. For example, to display activities for the Structural Steel, Building Envelope, and Interior Fit-Out phases, select all three values instead of creating a separate Equals condition for each phase.

In the following example, a scheduler wants to create a view that displays only activities associated with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) work.

To configure the filter:

1. Navigate to a page, and then select Settings.
2. In the Manage Views panel, select the view to which you want to apply the filter.

   Note In the Settings panel, filtering options are applied directly to the page.

3. In the Manage Views or Settings panel, select the Filtering tab.
4. Select Add a filter condition.
5. Configure the following fields:
   1. For Field, select the code field used to filter the list: trade
   2. For Operator, select the following qualifier: Is one of

      This selection displays items assigned to any of the selected code values.

   3. For Values, select the activities Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.
6. Select Save As, and then name the view MEP Activities.

When the scheduler applies the MEP Activities view to a page, the list displays activities assigned to any of the three selected trade code values.

To display activities that are not assigned to these trade code values, the scheduler can create the same filter using the operator Is not one of.

Note The Is one of and Is not one of operators are only available on supported list pages when the selected field is a code field.
