Adding the Approve Proposal Task Step

The Approve Proposal task step includes two tasks, a form task and an update field task. The form task notifies a user of your choice that the proposal has been approved. The update field task automatically changes the Status of the proposal to Planned.

To add the Approve Proposal task step:

  1. In the Workflow Design toolbar, select Add a task step and drag it onto the workflow design canvas.
  2. Position the new step above the End step.
  3. In the Step area, in the Name field, enter Approve Proposal.
  4. In the Description text area, enter Automatically approve low and medium-risk proposals.
  5. In the Step area, select Add , and then select Form Task.
  6. In the Form Task Details dialog box, in the Name field, enter Notification - Proposal Approved.
  7. In the Instructions field, enter Notification to inform owner the proposal has been approved.
  8. Select OK.
  9. In the Step area, select Add , and then select Update Field Task.
  10. In the Update Field Task Details dialog box, in the Name field, enter Approve Proposal.
  11. In the Description field, enter Change proposal status to Planned.
  12. Select OK.
  13. In the Approve Proposal step icon, select Draw Path icon Draw connector line, and then select the End step icon.
  14. Select Save.
