Assign a User or User Group Access to a Print Layout

Workspace report permission sets control the accessibility of print layouts to other workspace members. You can also set security for individual print layouts. This gives you the ability to accommodate situations where the workspace report security settings are too broad. For example, if you want to grant a user editing rights to a single print layout but the user has view-only workspace report privileges, you can assign the user editing rights for only that print layout. The user will then be able to edit that print layout, yet still maintain only viewing rights to all other workspace print layouts.

To assign access to a print layout:

  1. In the object selector, select a workspace, project, portfolio, or program.
  2. In the sidebar, hover over Reports, and select Print Layouts.
  3. On the Print Layouts page, in the table, select a print layout, and select the Security detail window.
  4. In the Security detail window, select Assign, and do one of the following:
    • To assign individual user security, select User.
    • To assign group security, select Group.
  5. In the Assign dialog box, enter a group or username in the search box.
  6. Select the group or username from the search results, and select Next.
  7. In the Permission Set field, select a report permission set.
  8. Select Assign.
  9. Select Save.
