Collect Commitment Change Orders into a Contract Change Order

In a contract change order, you can collect line items from associated commitment change orders. This is useful if you want to consolidate the details of several commitment change orders into a single contract change order.

For example, say you're a general contractor on a project. The project's owner requests a scope change that impacts multiple trades and adds to the cost of the project. After you finalize commitment change orders with your subcontractors, you can collect all of the detailed line items from those change orders into a single contract change order, which you can then present to the project owner.

To collect commitment change orders and add them to a contract change order:

  1. In the object selector, select a project.
  2. In the sidebar, hover over Contracts and Commitments, and select Change Orders.
  3. On the Change Orders page, select a contract change order.

You can only collect commitment change orders in a contract change order that has a status of Draft or Rejected.

  4. Select the Collected Change Orders tab.
  5. On the Collected Change Orders tab, select Collect.

The Collect from Commitments page appears. It lists all of the approved, uncollected change orders in the project.

  6. Select all of the commitment change orders whose line items you want to be included in the contract change order.
  7. Select Save and Collect.
