Views Overview
A view is a configured visual layout of a page. Views help you customize content and layout choices, such as column selection, filtering, grouping, and sorting. Some pages support additional view options, such as Gantt charts, Gantt bars, and spreadsheet rows. Selecting the best view for your needs can help you manage data in Primavera Cloud.
Some pages support named views. You can save a named view as a Workspace, Project, Shared, or Personal view. Available view types vary by page.
Personal views are accessible only to the user who created the view. Shared views are views that you have shared with other users, or that other users have shared with you. Project views are saved at the project level and are accessible to all members of the project. Workspace views are saved at the workspace level and are accessible to all members of the workspace.
A fifth named view type, Standard, is available on the Activities and Budget Planning pages. Standard views are included with Primavera Cloud and contain preconfigured view options. Standard views are read-only, but you can modify the view options and save your changes as a new view.
On pages that support named views, you can create as many views as you need to display your layouts. You can add, modify, and delete Personal, Project, and Workspace views in the Manage Views panel on a page. Only the Shared view creator can modify or delete the view. On pages without named views, you configure available view options in the Settings panel. Those options are applied and saved to the page.
For pages that support named views and autosave, use the Save Views options in Preferences to configure whether view changes are saved manually or automatically.
Available view options will vary by page. The title of the
Settings icon may be specific to the grid or detail window that the icon pertains to. For example, the title of the icon for the Activities grid is Activities Grid Settings.
