Idea Workflow Overview

Ideas are processed using a submission and approval workflow. Primavera Cloud provides users with three options for the idea workflow:

Default Idea Workflow

The default idea workflow is the workflow that comes set in Primavera Cloud. The default workflow represents the standard idea process workflow. The default workflow is first initiated when an idea is submitted. The submitted idea is sent to the idea router, who assigns an idea owner. The owner then decides whether the idea should be accepted and turned into a project proposal, or rejected.

System Idea Workflow

System workflows are workflows that the application provides in the Workflows and Forms app. The system idea workflow closely resembles the default idea workflow. However, unlike the default workflow, the system workflow can be viewed, duplicated, and customized before being set as the idea workflow for the workspace. Custom Idea Workflow

Users also have the ability to create new idea workflows using the Workflows and Forms app. You might choose to create a custom idea workflow if the default and system workflows do not suit your business needs. To learn about custom idea workflows, see Custom Idea Workflow Overview.
