Configure Dashboard Sharing

On the Manage Dashboards page at the workspace level, you can specify how you want dashboards shared to other objects. Sharing methods can only be modified at its owner level.

For workspace, project, portfolio, and program dashboard types, you can determine how all dashboards are shared between parent and child workspaces. When determining the sharing type, you have the following options:

Manual: The dashboard can be pulled down by child workspaces individually, using the Assign button in each child workspace. This is the default option.
Automatic: The dashboard is pushed down to child workspaces automatically.

You can also determine how project, program, and portfolio dashboards are shared with new projects, programs, and portfolios. Setting the sharing method to New Project, New Program, or New Portfolio will automatically share the dashboard with all new projects, programs, or portfolios created in the workspace. Setting the sharing method to Manual will make the dashboard available to projects, programs, or portfolios only if the dashboard is assigned.

To determine the sharing method of dashboards for your workspace:

In the object selector, select a workspace.
In the sidebar, hover over  Dashboards, and select Manage Dashboards.
To specify how dashboards will be shared to child workspaces, select the Workspace, Project, Portfolio or Program tab.
- In the Sharing Method field, select Manual or Automatic.
To specify how project dashboards will be shared to new projects, select the Project tab.
- In the Project Sharing field, select New Project or Manual.
To specify how program dashboards will be shared to new programs, select the Program tab.
- In the Program Sharing field, select New Program or Manual.
To specify how portfolio dashboards will be shared to new portfolios, select the Portfolio tab.
- In the Portfolio Sharing field, select New Portfolio or Manual.
Select Save.
