Add a Custom Log Type

Custom log types are created at the workspace level to easily assign as custom logs to projects and programs in the workspace. They can also be shared to child workspaces. All configured fields and codes added to a custom log type remain assigned when it is inherited by a workspace or assigned to a project or program.

To add a custom log type:

  1. In the object selector, select a workspace.
  2. In the sidebar, select Summary & Settings.
  3. On the Summary & Settings menu, select Dictionaries, and then select Custom Log Types.
  4. On the Custom Log Types page, select Add.
  5. In the Add Custom Log wizard:

      • Name: Enter a name for the custom log type.

When a custom log type is applied to projects or programs, it is then available to be assigned as a custom log to projects or programs in the workspace. See Assign a Custom Log Type to a Project or Program.

Selecting Select All will automatically select Programs and Projects.
