Move Project Overview

The Move Project wizard enables you to select a destination workspace for the project you want to move as well as define the actions you want to take for the shared data associated with the project. You will have the option to copy all workspace data not available in the destination workspace or move all data items not available from the current workspace to the destination workspace. Data that is already available in the destination workspace is not impacted by moving a project. Some data types cannot be handled according to your selections and will be automatically handled. Depending on the type, items may be automatically removed from the project, moved and renamed if the same ID exists, or removed.

Some shared data cannot be moved, and has unique data handling requirements; which means the project cannot be moved. See Considerations When Moving a Project to a Different Workspace for more details.
