Baseline Categories Overview

A baseline category provides additional context for baselines that schedulers and planners across an organization can use to ensure that specific baseline conventions are maintained at a workspace level. This ensures that users are selecting the correct baseline for their intended purpose, and the correct baseline information will be used for schedule comparison and approvals. Baseline categories can be assigned at any time from the Manage Baselines dialog box or the Baselines page.

Only users with the Workspace-level Baseline Categories Add, Edit, and Delete privileges can manage them. User must have the Edit Baselines privilege to make baseline category assignments.
