Configure Gantt Bars on the Task List Page

To visually distinguish project level task bars displayed in the Gantt chart, you can configure bar and bar label settings for the Gantt chart view on the Task List page.

To configure Gantt bars on the Task List page:

  1. In the object selector, select a project or program.
  2. In the sidebar, hover over Tasks, and select Task List.
  3. In the Manage Views or Settings panel, select the Bars tab.
  4. In the editor grid, select the Task Name to make changes to the following label settings:
    • Adjust the bar label position:Click and drag the Task Name box to change the bar label position in respect to the Task Bar. For example, you can drag the label above, below, before, or after the task bar to customize the position of the task name label. By default, the task name displays after the bar.
    • Change the bar label color: After selecting Task Name, use the Color selector to change the task name label color.
    • Remove the bar label: Click the X beside Task Name to completely remove the bar label.
  5. In the Height list, specify a bar height. Options include Small, Medium, and Large.
  6. Apply the view:

    In the Manage Views panel:

    1. Select Save. When selected, you are saving all changes to the current view.
    2. Select Save As. When selected, you can create a new Personal, Project, or Workspace view with a new name in the Save View as window.
    3. Select Apply. When selected, you are returned to the grid. The grid displays any changes you have made; however, those changes are not saved. To save changes select Save or Save As in the View list.
    4. Select Reset.
    5. Select Close.

    In the Settings panel:
