Add a Portfolio

Add portfolios to monitor the health and status of groups of related projects, programs, and sub-portfolios. You can also use portfolios to facilitate multi-year budget and resource planning on projects in the portfolio.

To add a portfolio:

  1. In the object selector, select Portfolios, and then select Add Portfolio.
  2. In the Add Portfolio dialog box, enter a name for the portfolio.
  3. (Optional) Enter a description.
  4. Select Add.
  5. In the inventory panel, select Close.

You can also perform this task from the Portfolios inventory panel:

  1. In the object selector, select Portfolios, and then select View All Portfolios.
  2. In the Portfolios inventory panel, select Add.
