Review a Proposed Budget for a Project in a Shared Budget Plan Scenario

Budget planners share the proposed budgets for projects within a budget plan scenario during budget negotiations.

Typically, there is one project manager who has privileges to request and accept budget changes. Other managers only have the privileges to provide budget feedback.

Project managers receive notification when the proposed budget for a project is ready for negotiations. They review the proposed budget on the Cash Flow page and can access this page from the link provided in the Notifications panel, or by navigating to the Cash Flow page for the project.

To review the proposed budget:

  1. In the object selector, select a project.
  2. In the sidebar, hover over Cost and Funds, and select Cash Flow.
  3. On the Cash Flow page, review the Portfolio Proposed Budget row, and compare it against the Planned Budget or Forecast rows.

Note: If the budget for the project has been approved and is being revised, you can also review against the approved values in the Portfolio Approved Budget row. You can also review the additional cost curve breakdowns for capital and expense in the Proposed Budget row, Planned Budget row, Forecast row, and Available row on the Cash Flow page.

  4. Review feedback others have provided or add your own feedback.
