Reports Overview

The Reports app enables you to leverage customizable reports to communicate detailed or summarized information about projects.

Reports are user-defined, enabling you to create reports based on specific data and design selections you enter. You can save your report and run it on-demand, or you can schedule it to run at a single designated time or on a recurring basis. You can also run these reports from a variety of pages in Primavera Cloud, depending on the context of the page. Output file types for reports include PDF, XLS, RTF, HTML, and XML.

By default, new reports are only available to the user who created the report. If you have the required reporting privilege, you can promote user reports to share them with other users in your workspace or project. Workspace reports are automatically inherited by child workspaces, but are only visible to users with appropriate security privileges. To view a report, a user must either be assigned access directly to the report or be assigned privileges in the report's owning workspace. Assign direct access to a report from the Report List or Print Layouts pages. Assign workspace privileges in the workspace Summary & Settings.

If your Primavera Cloud environment is integrated with BI Publisher and you have the necessary security privileges, you can use the layouts functionality available in BI Publisher to configure advanced visual display settings for reports.

A special type of report called a print layout enables you to report on individual data records for a variety of objects. You must use BI Publisher to create print layout reports.

Note: BI Publisher-based layouts are currently not available for High Compliance customers.

If a report includes subject areas which do not support multicurrency (including workspace currency), an error message displays to change the report currency. If a report includes currency related columns which do not support multicurrency (including workspace currency), those columns will be blank. The solution to this is to switch the report to the base currency. For more information, see Workspace Currency Overview.
