Alerts and Thresholds Overview

The Alerts feature enables you to create custom system and email notifications to alert users or user groups when a threshold is met. You can create alerts on the rolled up values of specific project-level fields for activities, projects, scope assignments, and work packages. The values for the threshold depend on the type of field you select. For example, if you chose Remaining Hours, the value will be in hours whereas if you chose Approved Budget, the value will be in the base currency. Threshold operators allow you to set options, such as whether the field should equal, not equal, or exceed the value.
