Approve a Portfolio Budget Plan Scenario

A budget plan scenario can be sent for approval or approved by the budget planner without being sent for approval.

To approve a budget plan scenario:

In the object selector, select a portfolio.
In the sidebar, hover over  Cost and Funds, select Budget Planning or Published Views, and then select an analysis view.
Select the scenario for approval.
Select the scenario  menu, and select Approve.

Tips

In scenarios with a large number of projects, the approval may run as a background process. During the process, the scenario will become read-only. When the process is complete, you will receive a system notification with a link to the approved scenario.
When the status of a scenario is Approved, the scenario becomes the approved budget plan and cannot be updated.
Scenarios that were not selected as the final plan, will remain in the Budget Planning page and the Published Views page. If you do not need to refer back to these plans, you can delete the scenarios or hide them. To delete the scenarios, select the scenario  menu, and select Delete. To hide the scenarios, select  Manage Scenarios and select Hidden for each scenario you do not want to view.
The discussions for the approved budget plan are stored in the discussions for the plan.
