Transferring Ownership of RecordsYou own a record when your name is in the Owner field. Typically, you can view and edit all records that you own. Depending on the record ownership mode that your company administrator configures for a record type, you might automatically become the owner of a record when you create the record. For more information about record ownership modes, see About Data Access, Record Sharing, and Record Ownership. You also become the owner of a record when any of the following happens:
