Adding Team Members to a Project as a Subcontractor
When logged into Submittal Exchange, select a project and go to the Project Team tab.
- Select +Add User button. A new Add Team Member dialog box appears.
- Enter the new team member's email address.
- Select Next. A new dialog box appears.
- Your user settings automatically populate the new team member's settings.
- Select Save.
Notes:
- Subcontractors can only add other users from their own company.
- If settings of this new user need to be different, contact the General Contractor to make the changes.
- When a new user is added to a project, the user is automatically notified via email.
If that user has used Submittal Exchange in the past, the user receives one email notification indicating that the new project is available to them via the Project Index link.
However, two notifications are automatically generated to a new user if the user has never used Submittal Exchange before. One notification invites the user to access the project and a second provides the username and password information. - Project Role is disabled for users without edit privileges. (For eg.: For a Subcontractor with no edit privilege, the Project Role is disabled and displays as Subcontractor.
- An event is added to the Event History table when you enable or disable users.
